Service Controller XP

Service Controller XP is a system utility designed for Windows which will allow users to start, stop, pause, and end system services and also change their startup settings.

It has a clean interface that lists the services and adds a checkbox next to them.

You can instantly see which services are running, and view detailed information about all the standard Windows services. If you have used the Task Manager to enable or disable processes you know it is very hard to locate them or even find out what is the task they perform.

Service Controller XP provides complete information that helps decide whether to stop or pause a service. It suggests whether to disable a service or not, based on the use of the computer. This way it prevents from accidentally disabling critical operating system services.

Other options enable users to change the settings of services that start with Windows startup, choosing from automatic, manual, or disabled options. This utility is really useful but unfortunately is only available for Windows XP, 2000, & NT.
